Walk Wheel Cycle Trust is encouraging local community groups to access new funding to help nurture their local, traffic-free routes on the National Cycle Network in Scotland.
Love Your Network - Scotland is now open to applications
Please note that applications will remain open until all funding has been allocated.
The initiative, which is funded by Transport Scotland and delivered by Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, supports community groups by providing tools and equipment to help them to take care of their local Network.
What support can I apply for through Love Your Network - Scotland?
Love Your Network - Scotland can provide community groups with:
Equipment for litter picking - to transform the safety and attractiveness of your route
Tools for maintenance- from shovels and brushes to clear debris, to loppers and shears for keeping the route clear and more accessible
Personal protective equipment to help you maintain your route, safely
Community groups can choose from a range of items from our suppliers at Tudor Environmental and Helping Hand Environmental.
Why should I apply for Love Your Network - Scotland?
By caring for these spaces, your group can make journeys on the National Cycle Network more attractive and enjoyable for everyone.
This will not only encourage more people to choose walking, wheeling and cycling for their everyday journeys, but also improve the local environment and community.

Love Your Network - Scotland is available to support:
Community groups
Registered charities
Social enterprises
The grant supports community-based groups helping to improve traffic-free sections of the National Cycle Network in Scotland.
Other groups may be considered at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust's discretion.
Eligible sections are shown using a solid orange line on the National Cycle Network map.

The 2026 round of Love Your Network - Scotland is now open to applications.
How do I apply?
Download and read the Love Your Network - Scotland Guidelines before applying and check that your group is eligible.
Download, complete and send the Equipment Request Form to our Love Your Network team.
Complete your online application by filling in this form.
We'll contact you within three weeks to let you know if your application has been successful.
