Do you belong to a community group that is helping, or would like to help keep your local National Cycle Network route in good shape? As custodian of the Network, Walk Wheel Cycle Trust can support you and provide maintenance equipment through ‘Love Your Network – England’.

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust is encouraging local community groups to access new funding to help nurture their local, traffic-free routes on the National Cycle Network in England.
Love Your Network - England is now open to applications until 14th June 2026.
The initiative, which is funded by Active Travel England and delivered by Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, supports community groups by providing tools and equipment to help them to take care of their local Network.
What support can I apply for through Love Your Network - England?
Love Your Network - England can provide community groups with:
- Equipment for litter picking - to transform the safety and attractiveness of your route
- Tools for maintenance- from shovels and brushes to clear debris, to loppers and shears for keeping the route clear and more accessible
- Personal protective equipment to help you main your route, safely
Community groups can choose from a range of items from our suppliers at Tudor Environmental and Helping Hand Environmental
Why should I apply for Love Your Network - England?
By caring for these spaces, your group can make journeys on the National Cycle Network more attractive and enjoyable for everyone.
This will not only encourage more people to choose walking, wheeling and cycling for their everyday journeys, but also improve the local environment and community.

Who can apply?
Love Your Network - England is available to support:
- Community groups
- Registered charities
- Social enterprises
The grant supports community-based groups helping to improve traffic-free sections of the National Cycle Network in England.
Other groups may be considered at Walk Wheel Cycle Trust's discretion.

When can applications be made?
The 2026 round of Love Your Network - England is now open to applications until 23:59 on Sunday 14th June 2026.
How do I apply?
- Download and read the Love Your Network - England guidelines before applying and check that your group is eligible. Our Application Guide can help you through the process.
- Download, complete and send the Equipment Request Form to our Love Your Network team.
- Complete your online application by filling in this form.
- We'll contact you within three weeks to let you know if your application has been successful.
