Temporary closures on Routes 24 and 25 (Longleat Estate)

Routes 24 and 25 through the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire will be closed for two periods in 2026 due to events.

Closures will be in place throughout each day on:

  • 27 to 28 June 2026
  • 9 to 11 September 2026

There is no suitable alternative route, and any diversion would involve an uncontrolled crossing of a busy road.

Please respect the closures. Access through the estate is granted by permission of the Longleat Estate, and temporary closures are a condition of that access.

The route is open and signed from Longleat to Bournemouth but watch for short incomplete sections around Stourpaine and Blandford Forum, and in Wimbourne Minster. The route includes a traffic-free section of the North Dorset Trailway near Shillingstone, and a long traffic-free section from Wimborne Minster to Poole.
