Space to move
Changing our streets to make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle safely during the lockdown and beyond.

Local authorities across the UK are making changes to our streets in response to Covid-19.
These changes are designed to make it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle safely whilst social distancing during the lockdown and beyond.
And we want to hear what you think about them.
Tell us what you think
We’ve created a map which shows the latest street changes across the UK.
These changes include protected cycle lanes, wider footpaths, barriers to close streets to motor traffic, and reduced speed limits.
Search for your area, click on the icon, and fill in a short form to tell us how these changes are working for you.
We’ll collate the information and report back to local authorities where appropriate. And we may use your responses to inform future policy and planning.

We'll take a look at your request and aim to get the scheme up on our map as soon as it has been confirmed.
How we're supporting local authorities to make these changes
We've put together guidance on re-allocating road space to make walking and cycling safer during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
If you're a local authority, see how Walk Wheel Cycle Trust can support you to make walking and cycling safer.
Please note
The information gathered will be used to evaluate the public's views on infrastructure changes made by local authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To feedback to your local authority or to report immediate issues with temporary infrastructure, please contact your local authority directly.
