Application and interview hints and tips
Your Application Guide
The application form is your chance to show us your skills and experience, and explain why you’d be great for the role.
We’ve created this guide to help you complete the form and feel confident at interview.
Tips for Your Application
- Check your spelling and grammar.
- Save your work often as you go.
- Some fields are mandatory - you must complete these before submitting.
Decisions about shortlisting are based only on what you write in the form.
Employment History
- List your most recent job first - up to 5 years of employment including volunteering experience.
Education
We don’t ask for education details in the form. This helps us reduce bias and focus on your skills.
For some specialist roles (Design, Engineering, IT, Maintenance), qualifications will be checked later if you are successful at interview.
Additional Questions
You will be asked you to answer up to six specific questions around your experience and knowledge, and we will use this to shortlist your application.
CV and Cover Letter
For certain roles, you may be asked to upload a CV and cover letter. Only do this if the application portal requests it.
