How can I donate?

Thank you so much for wanting to donate to Walk Wheel Cycle Trust! There are many ways you can do this. You might meet one of our Face-to-Face Fundraisers out on the network, or you can donate online, by either making a one-off donation or by  setting up a monthly direct debit. Details of other ways you can donate can be found further down this page, or you can donate online.

What fundraising activities do you carry out?

We fundraise in a variety of different ways. Sometimes we run specific campaigns focusing on one aspect of our work, for example Repair Appeals that raise money to help us repair and maintain the Network.

We also use online adverts on social media and run telephone fundraising campaigns throughout the year. In addition, we run an annual raffle with exciting prizes to be won.

How do my donations get used?

Your donations are incredibly important to our work. Unless otherwise stated as part of the relevant campaign, all our donations are treated as unrestricted funds and get used wherever the need is greatest within our charitable objectives.

Do you employ Face-to-Face Fundraisers?

We have teams of Face-to-Face Fundraisers based in different locations around the country.

How can I pass on feedback about your fundraising activities?

As a charity we are always looking to learn, so we really appreciate receiving feedback of all kind. Please contact our friendly Supporter Care Team using the details at the bottom of this page.

Can I fundraise for Walk Wheel Cycle Trust?

Will I have to change the name from Sustrans to Walk Wheel Cycle Trust in my will?

If you are planning to update your will again in future, it would be best to update it to reflect our new name, Walk, Wheel Cycle Trust. However, our charity number is staying the same, so your kind legacy should still be valid under our old name, and we should be identifiable from our charity number.

Can I make a donation in memory of someone?

Thank you for choosing to donate in memory of someone. Your donation will help us maintain and improve the Network for future generations, a fitting tribute for your loved one. You can make the donation at this page on our website or send us a cheque to the address at the bottom of the page.

Can I donate to you through Payroll Giving?

You can donate through Payroll Giving:

  • if you are paid by an employer
  • if you have PAYE deducted from your pay, and
  • if your employer has set up a Payroll Giving scheme. 

To find out if your employer has signed up to a scheme, please contact your payroll department. There is no minimum or maximum amount you can donate and you can make changes to your donations at any time by contacting your payroll department. Your employers can also match your donations.
