About the Pier to Pier Way
The Pier to Pier Way, on Route 33, connects Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon.
The route forms part of the North Somerset Coastal Towns Cycle Route, including the very popular Brean Down Way.
Route 33 starts in Bristol and travels across beautiful Somerset and Devon to reach the English Channel at Seaton.
Two route options
The National Cycle Network route takes you through the south of Weston through Weston village and Locking Castle.
The Pier to Pier Way promoted by North Somerset Council runs on Kewstoke Road and Wick St Lawrence. A map of the route can be found on the council's website.

Travel along the sea promenade and nature corridors
The Pier to Pier Way starts at the famous Grand Pier at the seafront promenade in Weston-super-Mare taking you along the scenic promenade and Weston Bay.
The route splits at Uphill Road North junction, the the golf course, where you can continue on Route 33 to Brean connecting to the Brean Down Way — which takes you up the coast to the National Trust - Brean Down Fort.
The Pier to Pier Way, however, continues on the outskirts of Weston-super-Mare.
Nature corridors and greenways
Travelling out of St Georges, the route now passes through some beautiful nature reserves and along greenways. Make sure to keep an eye out for wildlife along the route.
The Pier to Pier Way crosses the Yeo and Oldbridge rivers, which is home to the former Weston, Clevedon and Portishead Railway.
Here on the Tutshill Greenway you'll find plenty of bird watching points where you can spot redshanks, dunlins, curlews and shelducks.
The route passes through some farm lands; please be mindful of farm traffic.
To Clevedon
The route now continues on quiet lanes to Clevedon.
On the way you will pass Clevedon Coastal Defences and Marshalls Field paths, which make for a great stop to enjoy the views over the Bristol Channel.
The route ends at Clevedon Marine Lake with many historic sights and scenic lookout points.
Linking to the Strawberry Line (Route 26)
Signs will take you through Clevedon via Kingston Seymour to connect to the Strawberry Line (Route 26) and Yatton station.
The Strawberry Line passes through cider apple orchards, steep wooded valleys and the spectacular Cheddar Gorge to Cheddar.
